About Stephen G. Bennett

Stephen “Steve” Bennett is a Partner with the firm. Steve graduated magna cum laude from the University at Buffalo School of Law with a concentration in Finance Transactions and from Villanova University where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Political Science. He serves on the board of Friendship Children’s Center, a local not-for-profit that provides early childhood education, and helps pro bono clients as part of JustCause (formerly Volunteer Legal Services Project). In his free time, Steve is an avid golfer and paddle player.

Stephen Bennett represents clients in a wide variety of matters. Steve represents business owners throughout the lifecycle of their business from start up, to hiring their first employee, to acquisitions of equipment and other businesses, all the way to sale or transition to inside or outside ownership. Steve’s experience in representing many local lenders in secured transactions also allows him to provide a different perspective to his business clients. In addition, Steve counsels clients in both basic estate planning (Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Health Care Proxies) and in more complex estate and estate tax planning. Long-term care is a growing need in our community, so Steve spends a significant amount of time helping clients to protect assets while trying to preserve clients’ eligibility for Medicaid benefits.
