Donald Fox is an of counsel of the firm and one of its founders. Don is a graduate of Cornell University and a cum laude graduate of Albany Law School where he served as Chief Notes Editor on its Law Review. A lifelong resident of Wayne County, he served as Macedon Town Justice for thirty years. He is peer rated by Martindale Hubbell as AV, its highest rating. He serves on the advisory board of The Lyons National Bank for its Perinton Branch and has served as President of the Gananda Education Corporation for over thirty years.
Donald Fox practices in the areas of real estate, trusts and estates and business related issues. He also has a busy practice in the area of not-for-profit organizations and serves as counsel for churches, fire departments and numerous other community organizations.
Don counsels extensively with the firm’s business clients in all areas of contracts, leasing and business transactions. His extensive background in tax gives him a unique understanding of complex business issues from multiple perspectives. This skill also permits an in-depth analysis in the area of estate planning. In the face of many public policy uncertainties, Don’s in-depth knowledge and experience helps the firm’s clients to chart plans for their future that are flexible enough to permit mid-course corrections as their goals and public policies change.
In addition, Don has extensive experience negotiating complex leases with large national tenants on behalf of landlords.
