You can also ask the guest, “What are you in the mood for: seafood, pasta, or beef?” This can help target your suggestions to items you’ll know will be of interest. Another technique is to ask if the guest likes a specific menu item and direct their attention to it by pointing to the menu. If the guest responds affirmatively, launch into your impossible to resist mouth-watering description.
